Confidentiality Policy
Aim
To protect the privacy of staff, children and families attending the Service.
To avoid and undue stress caused to either staff or families during their time at the Service
Explanation
Privacy laws have prohibited the gathering of information which is deemed irrelevant to the daily operation of the Service.
This allows for the Service to guarantee privacy and protection of all staff, children and families of the Service.

This allows for the Service to guarantee privacy and protection of all staff, children and families of the Service.
Implementation
- Personal details required by the Service will be kept to a minimum.
- Children’s developmental records will be securely stored to protect privacy.
- All personal information provided by the families is kept in locked cabinets and available only to appropriate staff or Government agencies personnel.
- All staff are made aware at the time of appointment of the necessity for confidentiality concerning the operation of the Service and well being of staff, children & families.
- Information, for the protection and privacy of all who use the Service, will not be discussed by staff to persons other than those to whom it directly involves.
- Staff are made fully aware that any breach of confidentiality will result in a written warning and may lead to termination
- Staff are constantly reminded of the importance of confidentiality.
- Families will be informed of this policy upon enrolment and agree to the implementation of it throughout the Service including staff information
